The Watering Hole

Materials

• A clear plastic tub or shallow tray (deep enough for several artists to reach in at once)
• Liquid watercolour in deep blue, teal, or green
• Real leaves (nasturtium are perfect, they look exactly like lily pads)
• Real edible flower petals: calendula, marigold, pansies, or whatever's flowering in your garden
• Plastic bugs or beetles in tropical colours
• Pipettes for adding extra drops of colour
• Brass goblets, pewter cups, tin scoops, small jugs for tipping and pouring
• A splash mat, drop sheet, or set up outdoors on grass
